His Life

Another thing that I wanted to tell to all of you is Leibniz's personal information which some of us don't know.




Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibniz, was born in  Leipzig, Saxony (which now Germany) in the 1st of July 1646, and died in November 14th 1716 at Hannover, Hannover (which is also Germany now). He graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1663 with a thesis "De Principio Individui" or "On the Principle of the Individual"


At Jena, a city in Germany, the professor of Mathematics was Erhard Weigel, but Weigel was also a philosopher and through him Leibniz began to understand the importance of the method of mathematical proof for subjects such as logic and philosophy.




He made deep and important contributions to the fields of metaphysics, epistemology, logics, philosophy of religion, as well as mathematics, physics, geology, jurisprudence and history.




He was a great man during his time but was not popular since Isaac Newton was also during his era and during those time too, Newton has just discovered his Law of Motion.
